I am a midwife with 19 years experience working in various settings and also have a Masters in promoting normality in Midwifery. I am also a wife and mother of three gorgeous children, and knowing the challenges of caring for a busy family I know how important it is to be armed with information, keep fit and healthy and have good support networks. Therefore, I am passionate about empowering women through knowledge, encouraging core and overall strength and facilitating friendships. I truly believe this combination is fundamental for women today.
I am a qualified level 3 Personal Trainer and Pilates teacher having completed the course at Drummond Education in Maidenhead. I loved all of my training and find the information so interesting that I am always seeking new ways of enhancing this learning. I am qualified in pregnancy and postnatal Pilates and exercise and I am currently studying for my sports massage qualification. This will further my knowledge of anatomy and I plan on training in pregnancy and postnatal massage including caesarean scar release. I have also been involved in Jenny Burrell and Claire Mockridge courses looking at advanced postnatal and pelvic health and I have a real interest in working with women with diastasis recti and overall pelvic floor and core weakness. I am excited to be able to share this knowledge with women during the pregnancy and postnatal classes and have seen how this increased awareness can help women at all stages of their life.
I also love working with women over 40 helping them to prepare for menopause, it has been shown that exercise including strength training is vital for women during this stage of their lives and helps them cope with the changes in their bodies.
I am also a qualified running coach and I am passionate about how I can help people to improve their running, I am constantly looking at research and information and I love sharing this knowledge and passion with my clients. I have lived starting my run group this year and seeing their progress and the support they offer each other
