Pilates and other classes for all women to develop good core and pelvic strength. Bernice (midwife and personal trainer)
Being a midwife, Pilates teacher and personal trainer, with a specialism in women's health. I strongly believe that building knowledge and support networks plus developing core and body strength is key to a positive birthing experience and essential for ongoing health. So, whether you are expecting a baby, have a newborn or older children I can offer knowledge, support and exercises that are functional and will help in all areas of life. I am also a passionate runner and am a qualified natural running coach so book in for a session to see how you can improve your running through technique and strength exercises.
I am a midwife with 17 years experience working in various settings and also have a Masters in promoting normality in Midwifery. I am also a wife and mother of three gorgeous children, and knowing the challenges of caring for a busy family I know how important it is to be armed with information, keep fit and healthy and have good support networks. Therefore, I am passionate about empowering women through knowledge, encouraging core and overall strength and facilitating friendships. I truly believe this combination is fundamental for women today.
I am a qualified level 3 Personal Trainer and Pilates teacher having completed the course at Drummond Education in Maidenhead. I loved all of my training and find the information so interesting that I am always seeking new ways of enhancing this learning. I am qualified in pregnancy and postnatal Pilates and exercise and I am currently studying for my sports massage qualification. This will further my knowledge of anatomy and I plan on training in pregnancy and postnatal massage including caesarean scar release. I have also been involved in Jenny Burrell courses looking at advanced postnatal and have a real interest in working with women with diastasis recti and overall pelvic floor and core weakness. I am excited to be able to share this knowledge with women during the pregnancy and postnatal classes and have seen how this increased awareness can help women at all stages of their life. It is so important that the core and pelvic floor are strong before advancing onto higher impact training, including running.
I am also a qualified running coach and I am passionate about how I can help people to improve their running, I am constantly looking at research and information and I love sharing this knowledge and passion with my clients.

" Tonight was great - you have this online thing down! You were really clear in your instructions they gave me helpful visualisations which helped me try to work on what was needed without having to glance too much at the screen to check I was doing it right. Well done for making this all work"
"Super core class with Bernice in a really great setting. Really enjoyed your clear and friendly instruction Bernice. Wow did I feel my core the next day, yeah.! Will be back. I highly recommend you give it a try! Susanna."
Bernice is a fantastic instructor. My 19 month old daughter and I love attending her core classes. The knowledge Bernice has is amazing. After having a c-section I was very nervous about doing any exercise but Bernice knew exactly what I could and couldn’t do, she was great at explaining things to make me feel confident that my body could handle it. She is a very warm and friendly person who makes exercise enjoyable. My daughter also copies the exercises which is great as she will grow up with a positive attitude towards fitness.
I 100% recommend Bernice and her classes!
I attend the prenatal Pilates class on Monday evenings,100% recommend I enjoy attending and learning exercises I can do pre and post natal as well as learning information about nutrition, labour and all other topics, So great full for everything I have learnt so far and looking forward to attending future class !
Thank you so much Bernice! X
During these difficult times I have seen how hard it is for pregnant mums to find out current information and connect and meet mums. So, I have set up a free closed facebook group that any pregnant mum in the area can join so that we can keep informed and connected. I will organise cuppa and chat sessions where we can meet each other over zoom with the opportunity to ask questions and connect with each other
New to my website this month is my new page on recipe ideas. I get so much feedback from clients wanting to try the different recipes and I wanted to share some of these in a place where it is easy to access them. Let me know how you get on if you try one!
